Becky Galloway has been hired as the New Director of the Hesston Chamber of Commerce.
Galloway, previously the Director of Membership and Fundraising for the Newton Chamber of Commerce, said she will continue the open-door policy at the Chamber office.
“I’m a little more laid back and will have an open-door policy. I want people to feel comfortable stopping in and visiting,” she said.
Galloway will be open to suggestions on what business and residents expect from the Chamber.
“I’m looking forward to getting familiar with the community and talking to people and finding out what engages them and what suggestions they have,” she said.
Coming into her new position, Galloway is already gearing up for her first event.
“Party in the Ruff is June 12,” she said.
As a former Chamber director, Galloway said event planning is one of her strong suits.
“I really enjoy events. The planning, organization and dealing with any last-minute changes that always happen. I really thrive on that,” she said.
Galloway said as a resident of Newton, she is familiar with Hesston.
