The first Hesston English As A Second Language (ESL) has ended. Three adults who took part in the class, as well as instructor and coordinator Susan Moore, said the class was an incredible success.
Juan Gomez, Salma Abdul Jabbar and Hanneke vanBergeijk, participants in the class, said they have all seen a noticeable improvement in their language skills.
“It was really helpful. I came here and I was not able to go to the store. I needed to repeatedly say what I needed. These days I am confident I can go alone and order what I want. I’m more independent,” said Saline.
VanBergeijk said even after living in the U.S. for several years, she wanted to work on her language skills.
