This past week, two-dozen Hesston youth got to know their community up-close and behind the scenes.
Susan Lamb, director of the Lovin’ The Real H-Town Camp, now in its fifth year, had a record number of youth enrolled to tour the community and local businesses.
“I am pleased when I look at the total number of kids that have shared this experience over the past five years; I believe we have now hit 80,” said Lamb.
In addition to growing enrollment, Lamb said the number of businesses taking part in the camp has also been steadily increasing.
“I am humbled by the growing number of businesses who commit annually to this process because it really demonstrates their commitment in our community,” she said.
Lamb credited the success of the camp with the additional help supplied by volunteers.
